It is with profound sadness that we learned of the passing of our great friend and partner Bob Mauro, gone far too soon.
Ever available and willing to help, Bob always answered the call to work on behalf of the US-Irish relations. In addition to his far-reaching contribution to the Global Leadership Institute at Boston College, Bob served as co-founder of the Boston College Ireland Business Council, as Co-Director of the Kennedy Summer School, as Director of the BC Irish Institute, and as advisor on many other boards and committees.
It was Bob’s great sense of possibility, and of collaboration, that kept him so productive during an impactful career that saw him traverse the globe.
To be in his company or to share his friendship was to experience his thoughtfulness, intelligence, and eloquence. His legacy of connection, meaningful exchange, and consequential leadership will not be soon forgotten.
Though often used, never more true; ní bheidh a leithéad arís ann, we shall not see his like again.
